      Pffffft...insert Taco Bell joke here...

$100,000 is a little high for a stock GNX. I saw a Stage 2 GN go for over $75k, but a stock GNX won't fetch that much...yet

They can be made to handle. All the car needs is some revised suspension geometry, the right mix of parts and it will hold it's own. (Think NASCAR, Ken)

But that much for a stocker? hmmmm. Maybe to some people. I would rather have one that is modified that I can take out and enjoy.

Exactly what I was gonna say Joe. I've seen guys take them Auto-Xing and make them perform pretty well, esp. for the size and age of the car.

A little history on this exact car (it's at a dealership in our town).

Back in '87, someone had ordered it and left the standard deposit on it. He never called back, never returned calles, and simply forgot about it. The owner of the dealer tried to sell it for more than sticker for the next three years. No takers. He decided to garage it and never title it.

Over the course of the next few years, basically into the mid to late 90's, he had a few offers. Here's irony for you... I believe it was 2000 or 2001, he got an offer for exactly $100,000 from someone in upstate New York. He turned it down figuring it would be worth more in even the next five years.

I know a lot about this car because my good friend worked in the service dept. at this dealership (Robert Buick/Pontiac) from '85 to 2002.

Nice car... Not sure I would pay that much for it, but I guess if I were a rich collector type (Reggie Jackson, Jay Leno) I would take a run at it.

It was never titled, don't most warranties start the day the car is titled/registered? The first day the car is titled the warranty should take effect.
