    I got one dent and scratch from a shopping cart in a WalMart parking lot. Believe me, that was my last. I don't play when it comes to parking. I even scan the hills and slopes...

    That repair bill was $280. $280 bucks for someone else's laziness..

      They should have something like hand cuffs that tie you to the cart that you can only remove them when they are put back into the proper storage place.

      My wife and I have taken back many carts that have been standing around in the parking lot to avoid any dings.

      Most people don't care. It's not their own car so what.

      In some places here in Canada the carts are tied together with special locks and you have to put in some coins to release the cart. You only get the money back when you return it and plug it back into another cart. It's not a lot of money but it seems to work in the parking lots I've seen.
