GTO's are no more! 2006 last year! w/i

Due to costly 07 airbag guidlines that gm has to meet and slow sales,(only 11,590 units in 05 and 594 vehicles in january 06 gm anounced in todays paper that it is halting production of the gto. I wonder if this will help or hurt gto resale values?
