  • Bit of an Odd story

Ok, so I have had my 88 camaro for about a year now and I am just now starting to fix it up and clean it out. I was planing to put the battery in the back cubby so I figured I had better clean it out and remove the junk cardboard box back there. After removing the cubby box I found the stock stereo. Ok cool this might be worth $20 or so. I look again and see a gas syphon, I look all the way at the bottum and see what lookes to be a shirt. I pull it out with caution, not know what might be inside it, and once I have it out of the car I relize that it was a pair of Scooby Doo Christmas boxers. First thought was yuck. Then I thought about having this passenger for the last year.... eeewww!!! Then I thought a bit farther in the past, I knew the previous owner and he wasn't much of a Scooby Doo guy, so these boxers had to have been in the rear quarter for atleast 5 years. WOW... I can't help but laugh at this diturbing situation.

Hahaha...That reminds me of a story. Back in the 60s this guy bought a brand new car. He drove it home and heard a strange clunking noise. So of course he brought it back to the dealership. They said the found the problem and fixed it. So he drives it home and still hears it...Finally, after bringing it back to the dealership a few more times with the same "we fixed it" response, he tears the car apart. literally the whole intereior was sprawled out in his front yard. He finally finds a coke bottle between the inner and outer quarter panel with a note inside that reads "rattles don't it"... HAHA

I don't know if this actually happened but it was one of those "stories" that an elder gent told...

This is one reason I clean a used car out as soon as I get it home. You never know what a previous owner left in it (and neither do they).

A friend of mine at work found a bottle of Jack Daniels in with the spare tire in one of his cars.

'87 Camaro - 2.8L MPFI, 700R4 swapped to T5, B&M Ripper Shifter, Dynomax Super Turbo muffler, CATCO high flow cat, K&N air filters, 180 degree thermostat w/200-180 fan switch, 3.42 rear end, Global West steering brace, polyurethane bushings/trans mount, Spohn adjustable torque arm.

My Brother works in the service dept. of a GMC/Chrysler/Jeep dealership. A customer came in about two years ago with her brand new Grand Cherokee, complaining it had an odd smell when the interior got hot. After basically tearing the car apart, they found a half of a ham sandwich behind the rear storage compartment.

Sounded like a bitter auto worker.
