V8 Fiero on Ebay

I found this Ebay ad to be funny. It's for a V8 Fiero, and the owner seems to be on something. The description alone is worth the read.

One of my favorite quotes "Previous owner backed my notion that Fiero production was delted due to GM's fear the Fiero would kill Corvette sales."

How about production was halted for several reasons, one being production costs were astronomical compared to sales. A reason Pontiac stood behind when the axe fell on the Fiero in '88.

Well, I can say that if it was properly done it would be a land rocket. The correct V8 conversion still retains the correct weight distribution and combined with suspension mods, it can run with the exotics.

i always liked those cars, esspecally after the V-8 conversion... but do you really want to buy a car from a guy saying that solar power is the solution instead of an alternator...?

I'm sure if the car is done correctly, it would be an absolute blast to drive. Something just struck me as odd about the whole thing. Part of it was the solar powered charger... Part of it was his claims about Fiero's unseating the Vette as GM's premier sports car... He was just all over the place in his description.

I had one of those once. I was handy to keep a trickle charge on the battery when a car was parked for extended periods of time. I think mine finally fried after about 10 years. lol!

There is an owner 'round my parts with an LT1-powered Fiero, I have pics somewhere (cant find them -rats) a Very impessive and thoughrough install. Car goes scary fast

I think if he just posted the basic details about the car, he'd have a better shot of getting good money for it. This is a case of talking your way out of a sale. He makes himself out to be certifiably crazy in some spots.

I had a GT V6 when I was in college. It was a blast to drive - I always toyed with some kind of motor swap. I loved how the motor sounded - it was "almost exotic" in sound.

Kevin, if you ever rode in a V8 Fiero your opinion would change. I took a spin in a 300 HP northstar with a 4 speed automatic conversion. Blistering performance.
