  • Enough With The Snow Already!!!

It's March 2nd, and we're supposed to get another 5 - 10 inches today. The snow from the last 30" storm we had just melted.

I can't wait for spring so I can pull the tops off my car and go for a ride.

    From Weather.com:

Heavy Snow Warning in effect until midnight EST tonight...

    This Afternoon
Snow...heavy at times. Snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches. Cold with highs around 30. Light and variable winds...becoming northeast 5 to 10 mph this afternoon.

    Tonight
Snow tapering off and ending during during the evening... then partly cloudy after midnight. Total accumulation of 6 to 10 inches. Cold with lows around 17. North winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

    Friday
Partly cloudy. Cold with highs in the upper 20s. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Wind chill values as low as zero in the morning.

    Friday Night
Mostly clear in the evening...then becoming partly cloudy. Cold with lows around 16. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

    Saturday
Partly cloudy in the morning...then clearing. Cold with highs in the mid 30s. Northwest winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

    Saturday Night
Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 20s.

*sigh* At this rate, The T/A won't see the light of day until next Summer.

I hear ya. I don't care for snow much any more. Here in KC, it has been in the 70s and even 80s all week. It just dropped to the 50s today but sunny and gorgeous.

Agreed. Far too long of a winter here. As I type this, the snow is coming down at a very high rate. It's to be expected I guess. You know what they say... If you don't like the weather in New England, wait a minute.

Norm - Is the 70's and 80's unseasonably warm for KC this time of year? I was under the impression it was fairly cold there during the late winter/early spring.

To everyone posting your fancy little warm temperatures.... I hate you all.

                      J/K... I'm just insanely jealous.

88Bird - I've driven 317 many times. That hill is a killer when it's NOT snowing.

I think even cheap snow tires are better than most alternatives. Last year I changed out my snow tires for summer tires one day before a freak snow storm in Jersey. End of March I think...I couldn 't even get up a 5 deg. grade after a stop. I was lucky to be able to turn around and head back down the "hill".

We ended up with about the same. It's going to be in the 40's Sunday. This was just enough snow to make things sloppy.
