Well I think if they had all of their "super stars" then it would've been better. Its like team USA getting the bronze in basket ball in greece. And not even medaling couple of years before that. These "superstars" need to represent their country. Remember the Dream Team?

which superstars are you referring to? This isn't totally like that.... Most of the great players in the MLB are from other countries, so they play for them. Dominican Republic, IMO, will take it all.
Hell, A-Rod even decided to play for team USA, and they still lost. Ok maybe they should have. Do we really need ALL the major league allstars on our teams to compete these days. Its sad to say that alot of other countries are beating us in other sports too. US olymipics basketball team a few years back did pathetic for the talent on the team, this years olympic skiing was sub par. And probablly a few more sports that i cant think of. This USA baseball team has no reason for losing and they better be only blaming themselves. This whole WBC was a joke. It's the wrong time of year to have it. They should have done this in November. Players and managers are worried about guys getting hurt, pitch counts, etc... It's really just a glorified spring training for these guys.

Oh that happened
Canada won easly against the US in the baseball classic in the first round. A guy from our team said with these types of events a team can rise up and play better then they should for a game where in 100+ games they wouldn't be able too.
