  • not so nice conduct from some corvettee owners today

(no offense Norm, I know you are not like this)

nice day, but windy. took the goat to the gym and was cruising back on the interstate... i usually jump off half way back and get on a 50mph 4 laner...less stressfull.... was still a few miles from the exit i needed...

    relaxed..middle lane, approx. 70 mph...in a 65...left lane is flying as usual...
notice a yellow c5 in the rearview...and a black one almost parrallel to him...c5, but in the middle lane...and an older c4, red drop top...behind the black... they are cruising together for sure...after a min. that was obvious...

the left lane cleared pretty good...and the yellow c5 came up and started pacing me... i glanced over at him and smiled...not a real "happy boy" smile...just a nice smile.. suker was loud as crap too....sounded goooooooooood. well..he kept pacing me...and i heard a down shift... well doooooh, theres an suv not 30 yrds in from of me.... had the traffic been nill...I'd a run em...sure...he's gonna get me...but i might just earn a little respect for the gto cause unless he was modded , it would not have been all that bad....but i kinda got the impression he was pretty well modded.. after a couple of min.'s, the black one.....whipped up behind me...then whipped over in the middle lane...the red c4 close behind.. then he parralled me... maybe he was checking out the goat..who knows... then the yellow one jumped on it....i saw him on a two way radio..the black one had one too... he acclerated pretty hard, but nothing i dont think the goat could have not kept up with..but again...sounded awesome!...so what did he do? cut in front of the suv and hit the binders so the black one could fly up and get in front of him....the suv had to slam on his brakes....and so did I. the red one went too... after a min or so..they started playing leap frog again...and i could see brake lights from cars down the interstate a ways.... not cool...... come on.

many of us have gone on cruises together... heck, i led a caravan of 29 f bodies and 15 Impala SS's all the way from N.Va. to Ga. for the 98 f body gathering II in atlanta... we did'nt pull that stuff on other drivers... we didnt have one incident....and im sure alot of folks on I95 and I85 will remember seeing that awesome caravan and remembering how cool it was...not "what a bunch of heathens..".

theres a way to cruise together and have fun without making other drivers "cop and attitude" about a certain kind of car and thier drivers.....

the yellow ones tag was VA: TIME ME
the black one was VA: BATMOBL or something like that. the red one..i dont remember... the black one was a Z06 too......

    oh well, jus venting....LOL

It's unfortunate that most cars have a tag on their owners. Just ask the average person what they tyhink of people in BMW's or Porshes. It's too bad, because those are some nice cars.

Glad you didn't take the bait, Ken. I'm sure it wouldn't surprise you how many people would.

            Too bad to here that.

How old did the crowd look?

On another note; I finally got an in-person glimpse of a Z06. I was on the highway doing about 120km/h and a black Z flew by doing roughly 160km/h.

I know his speed because I was driving in my civic and by the time I hit 145km/h to catch up with him (took me roughly a minute or so to get those extra 25km) he was gone

you need to stay away from Hell-95 Wolfman on your days off. My impression of I-95 is most people on it have lousy conduct at best while distracted-driving . . . what they drive is beside the point... just lousy drivers with no regard safety of others, only helping out there friends

Usually on friday nights. The Lowes parking lot has a big car show get together. This includes a dozen or so corvettes. I bet that yellow corvette is the same a$$ that is there friday nights . If it is... Ill send your regards.

Dont really have any of that trouble down here in GA. The ricers stay together and usually give me a respectful glance or jaw-dropping stare when I roll by one. I've had a few Neon SRT4's screw around with me before but they stepped down. Like I have said before, we got ALOT of trucks around here and very FEW nice F-body's (3rd gen anyways) so everybody gives there respects and "How much you wanna sell it for?" conversations at the gas stations, restraunts, etc..... and the vettes are always nice too. Disappoints me to hear about stupid vette owners like that.
