does'nt make me wonder........ i was very close to the whole thing. heard and felt the crash into the Pentagon..... heard all the goings on in different agencies...

bottom line is it should have never happend. our administration took things too lightly when they could have been doing something about it. they just though "naw...it wont happen to us.........."

Look at how politically unpopular it has been to "do something about it" now, after the attacks. Can you even begin to imagine how unpopular it would of been to try and take action to stop terrorism before the 9/11 attacks?

It would have been politically impossible. Clinton would of been the man to try and do it, but it is totally understandable that he couldn't.

That being said, I totally agree with you that something should of been done about it a long time ago. The problem is that most Americans dont have the stomach or intelligence to understand the urgency and make the commitment.

They regularly feature a duo of Ralph Schoneman and Mya Schoen who rant endlessly against the US, explaining how every terrorist attack in the past 10 years, including 911 was actually committed by the US CIA, sometimes with the aid of the Israeli Mossad. They even accuse the Mossad and the CIA of staging all the "alledged" Palestinian suicide bomb attacks to give the poor unfortunate Palestinians a bad name and to justify the Israeli and US imperialistic aggression on these peace loving people.

WBAI is part of the "Pacifica (as in "pacifist") Network", based in Berkely, CA..... "peace and justice, radio", "free speech radio news", etc. The station has frequent "fund raisings" where they give away CD's and DVD's of ultra liberal rants and the videos like the one linked above.

After they get done with Ralph and Mya ranting about how a bunch of stupid "neo-cons" have been working their plot to take over the US for nearly 60 years, they start out the "free Mumia" chants, deing the improsonment of that scumbag cop killer as a "political prisoner", whine and moan about Tookie being dead, then they praise Hugo Chavez in Venezuela for giving the imperialistic USA the finger. Then they moan about the discrimination against poor unfortunate immigrants, completely unable to use the words "criminal illlegals", choosing to use other less offensive euphemisms.

The ultra-left, ultra liberal, pro-socialist, anti-conservative, anti-US drivel is unbelievable in its hate for this country and everything about it. But when you think about it, what other country would even allow these loonies to spout there whacko theories and beliefs. Anywhere else in the world, with a group that borders on supporting the forceful overthrow of the prevailing government, they would be non-existant in seconds. But here in the US, we let them spout their vile lies. I'm proud that we allow free speech. I just wish there weren't so many gullible people who will accept these ludicrous positions.

I've had the (dis)pleasure of listening a few times, Fred. Usually, liberals get me so angry I have to change the station. For some reason, I just find these nutjobs to be humorous. It's probably because they are so far off their rockers, it's not even worth taking seriously.

They had a show a few months back where they claimed the '94 bombing of the WTC was never meant to take the building down. It was a false sense of security, setting up the Government's eventual plot to destroy the towers in 2001.
