Congress makes the laws. Both the house and the senate have to pass the same bill then it goes to the president. If he signs it, it is a law. If he doesn't it goes back to the congress to see if they can get 75% of the people to vote for it. If so they can over ride the veto. If not it is dropped.

All of congress are of the two parties except 1 person who is a registered independent. Oh you can add one congresswoman from my district as a registered member of the nut case party.

there is a "us marijuana party" which shares a number of policies with the libertarians

first of all, i hate it when people say this is a democracy, no one has yet, just laying it out there, we r a REPUBLIC, not a representative democracy like some say, because that is a contradiction-in-terms. a country has had this system since the collapse of the athenian democracy, of classical greece, damn peloponnesian war! lol. sry just had to get that off my chest.

secondly, i dont think people are even aware of the social contract that exists between man and state!?!

yes, congress makes the laws BUT CONGRESS HAS LITTLE TO SAY ABOUT EXECUTIVE ORDERS!!! such as national security directives.

FIRST OF ALL!!! i mean no offense to any party members in this next visit to the top of my soapbox. lol

ALSO, i do not believe in parties! i dont bother looking at the mask politicans parade around in whether it be demo, rep, lib, nazi, com, etc. i look at the issues! saying that im a party member would create bias, it may be a microscopic amount of bias on an unconscious scale and it would still be bias.
i am not libertarian, i think the complete freedom for people to do what ever they want with their property is just asking for trouble, especially 'disturbing the peace', i believe that regulations should be placed on certain drugs even though they could serve a medicinal use, also the lack of centrality would leave little effectiveness for the police or other authority to stop riots, gangs, and crime in general; so for the next time the red sox win the world series...lol; like communism, libertarianism calls for a level of integrity that most people just dont have I ADMIRE THE LIB PARTY, but that system is centuries away. I do agree w/ some of wut the demo say, but it may result in a police state. Rep i believe to be, overall too narrow minded, and i really dislike the NRA, inspiring the michigan militia--poeple who believe that they have the right to enforce the law, however they are devoid of any oath, unlike the police. Nazi, well...WHERE SHOULD I START!?! if they had their way they would tear down 'lady liberty' and spit on her for all that she represents, TOLERANCE, for most of what America stands for now!!! the Nazi party is the one party that i can find no good in what so ever! and im not bias against them for their past. i am quite openminded. Communism...well, to be quite truthful...PEOPLE ARE MORE OF THE PROBLEM THAN THE SYSTEM, people could not handle a true communism, they depend too much on greed, they lack the duty as well as integrity! theoretically a communist society could exist for only one generation, and only if nothing but a language could be known about the previous generation.

also the primary problem with libertarianism, LAISSEZ FAIRE!!! people complain about the price of gas and yet this system would allow oil companies to set the price at any level they please!!! no gov regulations!!! CAN YOU IMAGINE THE PRICES AT THE PUMP!?! LMAO!!

ONCE AGAIN I DONT NOT MEAN TO OFFEND ANY PARTY MEMBER!! INFACT I WELCOME THEM ALL!! A BALANCE WOULD NOT BE FOUND BY THE FORMATION OF ONE GROUP! BUT THE RIVALRY BETWEEN GROUPS!!! CHECKS AND BALANCES.

I welcome those who mean to disagree with me! now if you'll excuse me i need to ice down my knuckles and fingertips. lol
