That was definitely close. Those rally crowds are nuts. Every year, there's several fans killed because they either don't get out of the way in time, or a car slides off the course and takes out a group of people.SOLD: 2002 Trans Am WS.6 - Black on Black - 6 Speed

yikes that is a close call, i could definately see a danger in cars sliding off the track taking some people out. I guess even being a spectator can be dangerous sometimes (though that guy did put himself out there a little)-Dan

I've been able to walk "No man's land" just behind the concrete barrier at a Grand Prix track. Even with a concrete barrier between myself and the cars rocketing by, I thought that people that hang around here are nuts. When I look at the crowds that line a Rally course I see those people aren't nuts, they lack any degree of common sense. The guy in the video is a case in point. That was about the worst possible place to stand.
