The independent truckers seem to be taking a beating with gas prices.Good luck...
Does it have a 13 speed or 18 speed trans?

Checked with my friend that used to drive long haul. He says a 770 gets about 7mpg.

Startup is expensive bro! The same friend has a F350 and a 4 car gooseneck car hauler. He started his own car hauling business this January. Besides the loans on the truck and the trailer the insurance is about $3000. Then you got the fees to DOT and state taxes/fees. I don't know how he pulled it off, but he's been making money.

        Good luck!

The one im looking at has a 2000 13 or 15(cant remember) speed 500 detroit. It has over 800k on it but only has 50k on a complete inframe with paperwork.
They want 27k for it. Very clean.

Yeah, gas prices are what kept me out of it for the last 2yrs but the way I see it they aint gettin any better and they are getting some good fuel surcharges too so that helps a little. The broker im lookin at is givin $1.15 a mile and they have plenty of work and could get around 2700-3200 miles a week. And I dont have to get my own authority so I can run under his insurance. I just have to get bobtail insurance i think.

I believe 7mpg is correct too.
