  • Wow! I love my car with no exhaust

Today I dropped the whole exhaust out except for the headers. I fixed the two bad leaks by welding it all up. But before installing everything my friend and I took it down 611 (main highway). Everyone stared at my car, leaned out the window and looked at me like I was crazy. It was sooooooooooooo loud lol!! I loved it. I only brought it to 4000 rpms because it was so loud. I scared a kid in his matrix lol. What an experience, I hope the cutout is a little more tame.

I remember helping Craig finish up his header install (had the cat modified to fit the Y-pipe). We fired up his TA with just the headers, Y-pipe and cat...I could feel the vibrations in my body . There's nothin' like that sound, I must say

HAHA!!! Great stuff...made a girl . Wow Casey, you're just plain wrong.

When I was doing my header install, I ran it without I-pipe connected and it was crazy! LOL! Too much for me though, but I did think about a remote cut-out. It was crazy loud...

Made a girl ...LOL!!! Man, bless her little heart.

He he.....I ran my SLP shorties and random tech Y pipe wide open for a few days. I managed to find every intermittant rattle in the interior with those open. Fixed the few rattles and hooked up the mufflex. Not much quieter on the throttle, cruising is a bit more tame. I can only deal with wide open pipes for a quarter mile at a time.

My friend ran open headers on his Dakota R/T...sounded like a damn nascar...well um...car lol. Very huge torque loss when he did that though. Only reason we had it off was becuase we were gutting his cat only to find out that it was rusting through when we got it off. So needed to find a "replacement" cat. (Damn visual)

O Heck yea, I love that sound, when I helped my friend Brent, 96camaro; put his Pacesetter LTs on last week, he statred that thing up and man, my girl was over there and she jumped out of her chair and ran when he fired it up HAHA. We got all kinds of looks, then we put the Y-pipe on without connecting to the cat-back and it still was loud. When I do mine I plan on running open-y-pipe for a while, I can get away with that but open headers haha thats a big no dice!

I finished up the exhaust today. Everything is welded and the leaks are gone. The cut out is wide open and it sounds amazing. With a little exhaust going through the flowmaster and most flowing out the cut out the sound is addicting. Its not too loud and not quiet for sure. I cant explain the sound, Im just addicted to it. lol. The car seems to run much smoother now and really feels like it has a little more power after fixing that huge leak.

I'll get a quick video up soon. Have a nice afternoon all
