I ordered tires online from tirerack.com yesterday with next day shipping. Today only 2 of the tires came in and the other 2 were delayed some where in Texas due to a heavy storm. It's my dad's bday this weekend and I wanted to surprise him. Fedex completely *#(@ everything up now. They said the other 2 will come in Monday. They better refund my shipping. I didn't pay $126.00 for nothing. I mean is it REALLY that hard to ship 4 tires together ON THE SAME PLANE!!??

We *have* had a bunch of bad weather and tornadoes here the last week or so, but I agree, I don't see why they couldn't have shipped all 4 tires together.

The reason they come in packs of two is because of shipping bililng. It is based upon the total size of the package and each carrier has a limit (like 130 inches w+l+d).

Make them aware of what happened and request a shipping refund to regular ground price.

Nah! I'd ask for a full refund on the 2 that didn't make it as promised.

I found making a reasonable and mutually fair request, in a calm manner, usually results in the best ending.

Any customer service person that gets the drift that you are looking for something more than just a fair solution is going to be less cooperative.

I think Taso realized that they came in packs of two . His beef was why they couldn't have had both packs on the same airplane.

I also agree that he should be entitled to a full shipping refund on the two that did not arrive on time.

Update:

Well I just recieved the other 2 yesterday. I talked to tirerack about the guarantee and they're working on it and will call me back today. They said they were going to refund half of my shipping and I told them it was unacceptable. We'll see what happens.
