If it is cherry, 4500-5K is not bad. You'll have to look at it closely. With 170K on it, it all depends on how well it was cared for. Dont be surprised to see a car that needs work, if that is the case, pass on it.

And what makes this a Copo car? Last I checked, GM hasn't done Copo cars in over 3 decades.

No such thing as a COPO 4th Gen.

170,000 Km is roughly 105,000 miles. That's not terribly bad, but you can likely expect to be replacing some parts.

And $5,500 is way high for a 94 with that many miles. You can find plenty of 1998 LS1 Z28's with similar mileage for under 7k.

lol sorry, just called it a copo for short form, all the italian guys at the shop call all camaro's copo's kinda stuck with me anyway all 4th Gen F-Bodys I look at in Ontario all seem to be extreamly pricey, most of the other 94 Z28's for sale are going for around $7500 and have roughly the same amount of KM. But Iam probably not going to be buying one until mid-summer or even after summer so I guess I have time to shop around (or maybe look on ebay)

If I can get $7000 together what would be ideal 4th Gen LT1 I should try and find (preferably a camaro but a firebird is a tottaly acceptable option)

I sold my '96 Camaro in mid 2005 for $6,000. I thought I was doing well. The car had 130,000 miles and a rebuilt transmission. It was a hardtop, with some basic mods. It was well taken care of and the paint was in good shape with some minor chips on the hood. I thought I was doing well to get that much. Keep looking. You might be better off traveling to find the car you want. Even with the expense, you could still get a better deal. Or just wait till winter...prices will come down.

He's in Canada. I assume it's $7,000 Canadian. If that's the case, it's still a bit high for an LT1 4th gen, but not quite as bad.

I dont think its too bad, I bought mine in Hamilton for 8.5k Cnd. about 2 years ago with 86k kilometers on it and it was ALOT less then most, needed some work but nothing crazzy. 6 speeds are always more sought after mines a A4.

Ask about the optispark, spark plug wires etc, look to see how much stuff has been done mechanicaly with it. If you search on auto trader there are alot of cars asking alot more in the area (all way over there worth) so go at this one with some caution.

I just searched for the car here is the pic of it: (long copy/paste)

                    http://www.trader.ca/Search/Enlarged...px?large&CAT=1

Also remember about 2 weeks after getting a LT1 car you will be looking for ways to make it quicker and dreaming about a LS1 car because it dosn't seem fast enough

F-bodies in Canada sell for alot more than in the US. This is mostly due to the fact that there are much less of them here than in the US. I was thinking that when I go to buy a 4th gen I'll go to the US for a better deal, I can handle having the MPH and KPH switched. Heck my 68 gmc dont even have Kph

Ironic considering they were built up there.
