man that thing is sweet. If i had 90 grand i would buy that thing so fast. That thing would proly never lose a race or a car show, so i could probably win my 90k back with all the races and shows i would be in.

I see they hold the record at the texas mile @201 mph. I'm guessing thats a speed way of some sort? Because the record for the standing mile in a street car is the hennesey tt viper gts running at 217 mph, and second is the linginfelter C6 vette running at 214 mph. Well atleast according to motor trend. But a sweet ride -the less.

It's down in Goliad, TX at the Goliad Industrial Air Park. It is actually 8,000ft long so it is really 1 1/2 miles long. People go there to do land racing and obtain the top speeds of their vehicles.

BTW, that is one sweet Supra. Those things are timeless!

"Everything's bigger in Texax" I guess it holds true yet again Anyone know of any mile tracks near Delaware. I would love to run the mile, even with a near stock car, i think it would be fun as hell.

I'm going to take one of my bikes down there this summer. I want a 200 MPH certificate to hang in the shop!

I would be scared out of my mind going 200 mph, let alone doing it on a bike. You must have 10 pound balls dude.

You get used to it very quick. In fact I am thinking about selling both my Busa and ZX-12R becuase I am getting bored with them. I was going to get the ZX-12R stroked because I wanted it faster, but now I am saving to buy a friend of mine's cherry '68 Firebird. Just on him to decide on how much he wants for it.

Right now it has a 468 BBC. He should have it over at our shop pretty soon. He wants me to do a few things to it. I'll snap a few pics when he brings it over. It is the best '68 Bird I have ever seen! I mean that.

I prefer the '67 - '68 Firebirds over the '69 T/A. Not many people feel that way, but I just love the nose of the Bird over the T/A for the first gen. The '69 T/A is a beautiful car, no doubt, but the nose looks too similar to the LeMans and GTO.

Post those pics when you get a chance.

I agree. I absoloutely love the lines of the 68' Bird and the hood. I even love the unique slim look to the taillights.

I said BBC just out of of habit. It is actually a 468 BBP. It is a Pontiac 455 punched out to a 468. It is a solid roller motor with fully ported KRE aluminum heads. He has a dyno sheet on it. I think it's right around 550 RWHP. Pretty mild cam. The only thing I don't like about the car is that it has a Gear Vendors unit. If I get the car, that will come out right away to make room for a 700R4.
