  • What if our cars were like Microsoft based PC's?

    1. For no reason whatsoever, your car would crash twice a day.

    2. Every time they repainted the lines in the road, you would have to buy a new car.

    3. Occasionally your car would die on the freeway for no reason. You would have to pull to the side of the road, close all of the windows,
shut off the car, restart it, and reopen the windows before you could continue. For some reason you would simply accept this.

    4. Occasionally, executing a maneuver such as a left turn would cause your car to shut down and refuse to restart, in which case you would have to reinstall the engine.

    5. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, was reliable, five times as fast and twice as easy to drive - but would run on only five percent of the roads.

    6. The oil, water temperature, and alternator warning lights would all be replaced by a single "This Car Has Performed An Illegal Operation" warning light. The airbag system would ask "Are you sure?" before deploying.

    7. Occasionally, for no reason whatsoever, your car would lock you out and refuse to let you in until you simultaneously lifted the door handle, turned the key and grabbed hold of the radio antenna.

    8. Every time a new car was introduced car buyers would have to learn how to drive all over again because of the controls would operate in the same manner as the old car.

    9. You'd have to press the "Start" button to turn the engine off.

LOL, you know honestly, I do software consulting work so I am constantly around other peoples PC's and I have not had a major problem or a crash on a Microsoft based PC in years....and we're talking probably close to 80 or so PC's. None of my personal computers(all HP's) have ever given me a single problem either.

            It's a conspiracy by Apple!

I agree. I have a Dell XPS at home, and a Dell Dimension at work. Both have been (knocking on wood) the best two PC's I've ever used. As long as you buy and use reputable programs and hardware, there's not a huge issue. Small market programs are where compatability problems usually stem from.

Apple is running a commercial on TV about how they can interface with Windows based computers. Then they bring this girl on who represents a Camera. They imply that Windows based computers can not interface with cameras. What a crock that is.

I maintained an entire school division with half mac half PC and both crash. But there is no way on earth that the macs crashed less than the PCs. And parts are insane priced. one other thing about macs is ther is very few Upgrades one can do as far as gaming goes, oh ya, thats if you can find a game...

Both can crash just as easy. I help maintain 100+ Windows machines and 6 servers at work. I'm also in charge of Apple support here along with tweaking my own machine at home. I've crashed both of them and can crash either OS quite easily, neither are perfect.

Unless you're using the older machines, that's a crock. The only expensive parts on any G3 or newer is the motherboard, CPU, power supply and video card. Memory, optical drives, HDDs, keyboards, mice, printers, monitors, etc. are interchangeable with PC parts.

As for the game selection for the Mac, if you can't find one, try looking harder. They can be bought from Amazon, Aspyr, Apple, Outpost & Macsoft just to name a few. I'll admit a lot of Apple's statements are false, but so is yours.
