Grandma's got cancer
We found out yesterday that my Grandma has cancer of the esophagus that has spread into her lymph nodes and likely her liver. The doctors are saying she has around 3 months to live. It looks like she is going to decide against any radiation or khemo because it would provide only a 20% chance of recovery and will make her very sick. She is 78, the mother of 5 daughters and loving wife to my Grandpa. My mother is really upset and I cannot imagine how Grandpa must feel. Grandma and Grandpa are role models for our entire family. Their honesty, morals and uncompromised family values have provided a rock solid example for the younger generations.

Cancer is a very unfortunate thing. I lost a Grandmother to brain cancer that had metastasized from her original breast cancer from 20 years prior. She thought the doctors had got all of the cancer.

I'm sorry to hear this Tracy. I can't imagine what your grandfather is going through. I'm not sure if you've ever had the misfortune of dealing with something like this before, but if not, you'll be surprised how tragedy brings people together. It's strange. You really learn to appreciate one another during times like these. Enjoy the time you have left my friend. I also lost my Grandmother to Cancer when she was 81. She had Breast Cancer and didn't want to go through all the treatments at her age. She had a 50/50 chance, but it was her choice.2005 GTO (mine) K&N CAI and Magnaflow exhaust, drilled and slotted rotors, and other minor mods.
