  • Can the 1LE still be bought from gmpartsdirect?

I need a new driveshaft and I know that was like $220 from gmpartsdirect but the part number isn't currently recognized? You think i'd have to call them to see if its still available or does anyone know where I can get one for cheaper aside from ebay?

Side note:: I need to get a new air inlet elbow because mines all ripped up in the back and I was wondering if another 1LE with the silencer was the way to go or to get something like the trick flow elbow or the vortech one that doesn't have the resonator?

If you want to contact gmpartsdirect you will have to e-mail them, they dont take phone calls.

The 1LE elbow doesn't actually have the silencer per-say, it merely has the port to connect the silencer. If you look under the elbow, the passage to the silencer is blocked off.

As for ordering the shaft from GMPartsDirect, if it doesn't show on their site, you'll have to e-mail them if you want to see if they carry it. But, your best bet will be either www.paceparts.com (if they still carry it) or Dal/Jason.

A couple things about gmpartsdirect.com...they're shipping prices are insane, and at times they take forever to get you your part.

The Pontiac dealer i went to, about possible replacing the driveshaft, told me the 1LE has been discontinued. I was trying to get the LS1 driveshaft from them after that.

As for the elbow, I think the 1le is about 60 bucks? And i got a trick flow ceramic(naturaly finish for 75. I think the looks alone justified the small extra cost. Other then that though, i doubt there will be a serious gain.

well the trickflow isn't made of rubber which would constitute why i would pay the extra $15. I'm a little bummed about the 1Le. illl find it. im determined, I dont want the LS1 driveshaft. Heard its not as strong, not that im making a lot of power or anything but who knows what might happen in the future.
