and as for how he done it, he layed the wheel up against it, it went to fall over and i guess when he caught it, it hit the bumper or something heck if i know and why he layed it up against it i dont know,but he sure managed to hurt it...i guess he flexed the front bumper and now the paint is trailing and cracking yep im pretty pi$$#d about it...

Kev, they could use the torque limiting extensions with the impact guns, but I never see them do that. I always have to torque my wheels after I get tires done by a shop. For the TA, though, I just bring the wheels down to the shop in another car. I don't trust ANY SHOP FOR ANY REASON with the TA.
The Snap On guy let us try out a set of their extensions and we also tried a set of those Accu-Torq's. We tested them against our digital Snap on torque wrench and saw quite a bit of variation on the extensions.
I don't trust them. Plus you can still start the lug nut cross-threaded and the extension will still let you go about half way down on the lug stud before stopping....by then it's already too late.
I know you already know, but most people don't realize that our 7/16" lug studs only take 55-65 lb/ft of torque.
