Did anyone watch the show on the history channel last night about marines in Iraq? Man I don't know how those guys do it. They are fighting a tough war over there. The enemy walks around in plain cloths and we are expected not to shoot them until they try to kill us. So we can't take preemptive action or we will be accused of killing innocent civilians. So we have to wait until they fire on us. Unfortunately that might kill us. "Oh well." Our soldiers are doing an amazing job over there considering the circumstances. Talk about having one hand tied behind your back from the word go.

I believe that the media and the "resistance to the war" has greatly slowed the progress of this war. I also people a lot of American soldiers have died because of it.

Funny I was watching the news and they interviewed the Iraqi minister of information (I think was his title), he said that the Iraqi news services don't keep showing the bad things over and over near as much as the US news does because it stirs up more violence. He said that the US news harping over the bad stuff so much has made things worse there. He wished that we wouldn't do that.

Watched GMA for a few minutes this am when it was announced. Some terrorist exepert old-dude from D.C. pretty much said Al-kayda is the Smallest group in Iraq. They are resposible for High profile bombings but not the IED's that have killed/pwounded many of our troops.

They guy said there are 14 Larger, more sinister groups operating currently in Iraq ...

But for me I'll take any small victory in what it seems in a small part of a war that has no end in site

This is what we need! We need the average citizen of Iraq to stand up and do something about terrorism. Pick up the phone, make the call.

Yep. The citizens are getting fed up with all the violence. Getting Al-Zarqawi is just a small message that we will not rest until we get our target. It may take a very long period of time, but the end result is that we will eventually get the target.

Wow...finally. This is definitely a good day for Iraq. Those folks have suffered way too long. This will provide some much needed hope. Still a ways to go, but this is a good day.
