  • I think I found my next playtoy......

Since I've been into rockets and radio control...... this just seems like the perfect combination. Somehow I think the neighbors won't be too pleased.

I doubt the neighbors would be too fond of that.

Just thought of something, though. You live in Florida... It's not like they haven't seen something like that take off before.

If you are interested in becoming a dealer for these shuttles
Does he really think he's gonna sell enough of these at $1500 to need dealers? edit: I see now...he has 4 different sizes...68", 86", 100" and 114". photos of the smaller ones are photoshopped large ones.

I think the FAA wouldn't like it too much either. Probably have to file a flight plan....

You know...It's funny. I'd pay $3 just to see the thing go up!

Who knows what would actually happen on the way down!

Seen one go up years ago... it was similar to the smallest version.. where it gets tricky is if it passes a certain altitude. After than clearance must be granted properly. Odds are with its weight & aerodynamics, even with an engine that only licensed rocketry experts cat get, it will go up at most as hight as any typical rocket

I would imagine that we're talking mixing your own solid fuel. Liquid fuel would require lots of permits, so would flying over a certain size frame and thrust capacity. This is borderline out of the hobby catagory. I do know that the goverment takes a dim view of radio guided rocket power. That's why the acent is controlled by gyro and the orbiter is on a radio control return glide. Still, that would be one heck of a show. A dry lake bed out west would be about the only place you dare launch it. I would be most concerned about the SRB and tank's return.
