Happy Harry's bought out

My first guess would be that 99% of the board members here have never heard of Happy Harry's(my place of employment) Its a pharmacy, family owned and is the largest regional pharmacy in the nation 20th largest overall(not bad for being based in DE, couple of stores in MD, PA, and NJ). So we've been bought out by Wal-Greens(i'm sure 99% of you have heard of them ) Well it looks to be a good deal, we should be getting better pay, benefits, and computers once it gets official(july 1st) I found out monday but i haven't been on in like a week so i couldn't tell you guys. Well i though it was pretty big news, so i just wanted to tell you guys.

I don't know a whole lot about Happy Harry's. I've heard of it, but that's about it. Walgreen's, however, is the pharmacy I frequent. Having three kids, I'm in there all the time.

They are a much larger company, something like 5200 stores compared to our 76. So a lot of better things should be coming that only they can afford. I'm excited. I'm looking at possibly another $3/per hour. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I hope there isn't a Walgreens close to your store or it may get closed. Almost every corporate buyout has a few casualties like that.

Nope, no walgreens even close. We're one of a handful of states without one.
