  • New shoes for my WS6

Got some new wheels for my car this weekend. They are 17x11 out back, 17x9.5 on the front. The rear wells are stuffed with 315s . They fit without too many alterations. I had it at the All Pontiac Show at Dennis this afternoon and took first place for the first time. Everyone likes chrome I guess! (I wanted to go gunmetal with a polished lip but my wife convinced me otherwise). Check it out:

Silver 02 WS-6, 6 speed, Corsa cat-back, SLP lid, K&N filter, BMR STB, !CAGs, Lou's short stick, MSD wires, MTI "Hammer" cam, ASP underdrive pulley, Hooker LTs, Hooker ORY, Comp 918s, TR pushrods, UMI Sfcs, UMI LCAs, NGK TR55s, Hotchkis springs

    Dyno'd 4/24: 330.9 RWHP/ 344.8 RWTQ (Before cam, headers, and pulley)

    Dyno'd 5/1: 383.5 RWHP / 380.5 RWTQ (393 actual RWHP)

Looks really good Casey, but................I'm not sure I understand why the wife had any say so over which wheels you put on YOUR car.

Man, that wouldn't fly in any of my friend's marriages. The wife would be on the couch!

Man, I never like TAs in silver too much...but your TA just looks right. Rims, drop, and all...perfect. Nice!

I have been to see you post your new rims and those look real nice!

I expect some heat with this but I like chrome over gun-metal too. I think nice rims should be seen from far away and I always thought chrome rims make cars look so much better!

He is just picking his battles...

BTW, I think the wheels look awesome. I, too, believe chrome wheels set the car off better than any other. Gun Metal might have been a little too much on a silver car.

Thanks for all of the compliments guys. I have been working on it very hard to get it to this point. Still have more to do but I am starting to see progress now!

That's the entire point. It shouldn't be a battle in the first place.

All of my close friends that are married and that also happen to be car guys, have nothing but absolute freedom to do whatever they wish with their cars. That's the only way. Their wife's love them, it's called mutual respect. Like it or not, there is a real problem with a wife controlling what a man does with his cars.

Just my little 'ole opinion though.

I still love the rims Casey!
