P.T. Barnum said that it was morally wrong not to take a sucker's money.

              I agree.

Heck, by that theory, crack delaers would be fools not take advantage of selling their drugs to their addicted and weak minded customers.

The people that buy and use that very same crack deserve to die when they OD.

                Pure genius......

Roger, if you truly believe that anyone deserves misfortune in their life, then I truly feel sorry for you.

I didn't say they deserve misfortune, but they do deserve the results of their own foolish choices.

Knowingly fall for such an obvious fraud in hopes of making an unearned and undeserved fortune and get burned in the process? Yeah, you deserve what you get.

Since you bring up crack, whose fault is it when someone knowingly starts using it? Mine? Yours? Or is it theirs?

Play butt darts and get AIDS? You may not deserve it, but don't say you didn't know the risks. And don't blame someone else.

Drive your car 150-mph on a two-lane, rain-slicked road after you've been drinking? Whose fault is it when you hit head-on a family of five coming home from a wedding. They don't deserve it. And what happens to you, I couldn't care less.

                  It's called responsibility.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to relieve you of your confusion.

Clearly you need to be reminded of what you previously posted. Thank you for giving me the oppurtunity to awaken your memory.

Having your "accounts cleaned out" is an absolute and obvious misfortune. So deserving misfortune is precisely what you said....Roger.

Just the mere fact that you actually wated your time to blunderingly make an attempt to redeem yourself from what was clearly an ironically lucid realization that you had typed something less than decorous and conscientious, displays a clear reflection of your confused inner convictions. You're a smart guy, I expect better from you Roger.

Easy guys. Just agree to disagree. I can see where a person would be so disgusted by someone's ignorance at falling for something like this that they would say that person got what they derserved, but that is a pretty harsh blanket to throw over the issue. Unfortunately there are just ignorant and unintelligent people out there who can't help being the way they are. Some people just have low IQ's or are uneducated or old and not quite as able to think as well as they used to be. I don't think any rational, mature adult would say that any of the types of people I just mentioned would ever DESERVE to be the victims of theft, possibly losing every penny they had. No one deserves to be the victim of a crime. Yes, a drug user deserves to suffer the consequences of his drug use. But that is different, in that that person is knowingly committing an illegal act with a known dangerous substance. I don't lose any sleep at all for those people. But someone who gets duped by a predator who preys on overly trusting people is another story entirely. I see it as being no different than someone breaking into one of our cars and stealing our valuables because we were "stupid" enough to leave them in plain sight. We no more deserve that than these people deserve to get conned out of their life savings.

Harsh and undeserving. I know you realize it and I commend you for that, but some people just get too caught up in being hardened by life's adversities that they naively lose touch with their inherant responsibility to show empathy and compassion.

Spoken from a wise and warm hearted person. It doesn't take a big brain to have a big heart.

Good observation and good point. I strongly believe there exists no circumstance, extraordinary or not, that validates someone maliciously and oppurtunistically taking advantge of someone else. PERIOD.
