That's the way I read it too. It sounds like they want to discourage illegal immigration with it. "One would bar illegal immigrants from receiving state-funded child care assistance, attending adult education classes and getting cheaper in-state tuition and financial assistance at the state's public universities and community colleges.

Supporters say such restrictions were needed to discourage illegal immigrants from setting up lives in Arizona. Opponents said it was unfair to punish children whose parents sneaked them into the country."

Seriously, I think this is a wonderful idea. Like Jeff mentioned ILLEGAL immigrants should not be entitled to State services in the first place.

Like I've said before, obtain your citizenship legally, pay taxes legally, pro-actively contribute to our economy, and learn English or get out.

providing any kind of services to an illegal alien is just rucking fetarded, unless you're talking about a one-way ticket out, paid for by the country of origin. I'm all for immigration...but only the legal version.

and learn English, act like you're trying to become apart of this nation, not the other way around. Hell, my ancestors even Anglocized their name from a French one in an effort to assimilate. Admittedly, it's easier for Caucasians to assimilate with other Caucasoids, but you get my point. I'm tired of having to deal with multi-lingual crap everywhere.
