  • Sal Zaino does it again..only unreal big time!

he improved his no. 1 formula..the original product from his company thats been the base line of his products for years.. the thicker Z5...safe for clear and non clear...it fills swilrs... its the butt kicker for dark color cars... when you start out, you use it till you are comfortable with the finish then go to his z2...

a few years ago, he came out with z2pro... an even higher gloss more durable formula than the already 99.7% optically perfect z2........ the pro version is just plain kickbutt.....

well.....he came out with z5pro. i got my first bottle in yesterday. although the goat was sitting in the garage ....covered...as it is during the work week and on rainy days... being fri eve..with nothing to do, i had to try it......

let me tell ya, Sal Zaino has outdone himself......and I mean that.. I've been a zaino user since 1998.........but this formula tops the list for dark cars........and swirls...... after i buffed it off.. i had to call my wife out to feel it....(the surface of the paint, perverts..LOL)... its sooooooo slick...and feels wet to the touch...but its not wet.....!!! not one hint of any tiniest of a spider web or swirl...... just flawless....

i cant wait to pull the cover and do the whole car, proly tomarrow after the gym...its supposed to be raining here all weekend..so that will be my garage project.....

anyway..i just did the top rear deck, spoiler, and pannel benieth tonight..here's some pics for ya.....

I put it on thin..it dried in 20 min. to a real fine but solid haze..that was the first indication to me of its quality.. this stuff is tight!

Looking good Ken. I'm a complete Zaino Dummie. Maybe you can write a book, Zaino for Dummies!

What all do you need to do to before you can apply this z5Pro and then to "clean" it off?

WOW!! That looks great, Ken. OH! Remember when I asked you a while back about whether or not Z-PC Fusion would remove that scuff on my passenger door? Well, it did. I was very impressed. I used a random orbital polisher and it took it out after just maybe a minute of buffing with it. Great stuff. I have been doing one section of the car at a time over the past week, when I have time, and just have the bottom panel of the driver door to do tomorow or Sunday. The results are fantastic, although I need to redo some spots.
Anyway, I was thinking about ordering some Z-5 Pro cause I am almost out of Z-5. You just pushed me to go ahead and place my order. I think I will do that once I finish posting this.
Black97, to use Z-5, you wil need to do some other stuff first. The Zaino polish system is a multi-product, multi-step process. Like alot of other things, the prep work is the hardest part. Actually applying the polish is a simple matter of wiping it on, letting it dry to a haze, then wiping it off. To prep the paint, you will want to wash the whole car with Dawn dish washing liquid. The Dawn will remove all traces of old wax that was on the car. You will only need to do this once. Then, use a Zaino Z-18 claybar over the entire car to remove any and all surface cotaminants. Your paint will be unbelievably smooth even after just this step. Then wash the whole car again using Z-7 car wash, making sure to dry the paint thoroughly with white 100% cotton made in the USA towels to prevent water spots, as Zaino polish contains no abrasives and won't remove water spots. Then, you are ready to use the polish. This is a VERY abrieviated version of the instructions. If you want the whole story, go to www.zainobros.com and you will find out all you need to know. It's the best polish I have ever used, and I believe it to be the best polish on the planet. Bar .
