Thursday, June 22, 2006 -- Took delivery of my new 2006 Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic Corvette C6.
Let me tell ya, folks, it's a dream machine!! I had decided to keep the Z-28 Ragtop becuase I figured I would not want to be drivng the Vette as a daily driver (and I didn't want to let the dealership 'steal' it in the trade in process), and the Ragtop Z though it now has 107,000 miles on it is still in tip-top shape.
But man-oh-man, the Corvette is FUN!! So, I am planning to probably put the Ragtop up for sale soon. If you're in North Texas and looking for a well maintained Z-28 convertible, be watching the 'for sale' board of F-body.com.
This Board has been a great help over the 7 years I have been posting--thanks. Moving on to Corvette Forum now.
BTW, my son is still driving my old 92 RS. It clicked 204,000 miles last week, and is still as stong a runner as ever. If any case can ever be made for regular maintenance, this is it!!!
