  • D.C. - Waterloged!

Wow...I've never seen anything quite like the morning commute this morning. D.C. got pounded with some serious rain last night. It caused all sorts of chaos. Commuter rail under 4' of water, cars washed away, I-495 (the Beltway) closed in both directions at the worst place possible. Route 1, another major highway, closed in several places. It took me 2.5 hours to drive the 12 miles to work.

We needed the rain, but not like this! Our 7" deficit will be erased in just a couple days.

    Check it out:

That's not rain! That's what it's like when I turn my sprinkler on!

Yankees can't handle rain and us Southerners can't handle winter weather........go figure.

Like they say, everything is bigger in Texas.

Seriously though, that is some serious flooding. Something that we are all too familiar with here on the Guadalupe River here in Texas. Except we have had it much worse.........twice.

Yeah, I am actually traveling up that way to see family tomorrow in upstate NY. My mother lives in Binghamton, NY, right smack-dab in the middle of all the flooding going on in upstate NY. It is a very small city, and probably the first time it's made national news. She is fine, she lives on a hill! It is the worst flooding ever up there, I used to live up there and never seen anything like it. She said there been a # of houses being swept away, also reports of houses exploding because of gas leaks. I don't know what I'm in for, but it's going to be some sight. Oh, yeah, I'm also driving my T/A up there too....should I rethink???
1996 White T/A, LT-1 auto with only aftermarket Flowmasters, shift kit, and a LG Motorsports G2 cold air kit.....that's it! She can't eat all the 'Stangs but will die trying.
