  • Don't know what color to choose

    Hi all,

I am having the front bumper painted July 8th. The only thing still on my mind is what color the "grill" or "mouth" area should be painted. It pretty much comes down to a high-gloss black or white to match the rest of the car (the headlight area is going to be done in a high-gloss black).
Also, I am changing out the lenses on the front bumper. The choices there are also white and black, though I think the white might make the car look a bit too ricey.

So give me your ideas on what would look best
Yinz have seen more than your share of f-bodies!

On a white car, I'd say black. And, I'm assuming you're referring to the turn signal lenses, right? If so, and if you're not worried about getting in trouble about it, I'd go with the smoked ones (i.e. black). Just my 0.02.

I agree, black on both counts.

I think gloss black to match the headlight recesses would look the best.

Gloss Black. I did the same thing for my '96 when I had it. It turned out great. Also do the area around the headlights as well. IMO they should have done this from the factory.

How much are they charging you to paint it? After living in Saskatchewan, Canada for 4 years and driving in their gravel and sand strewn roads, my front fascia looks like it has been sand blasted.

I vote black also. The only other color I'd even remotely consider was a dark gray or graphite.

Around 400 hundred for everything. I am having it done by a very reputable auto body shop, Steel City Autosports. They are like the West Coast Customs of Pittsburgh.

And thanks to Joe K. 99 Zeee for the gloss black idea.
