  • No Fireworks

I live in southern New Mexico and despite the resent flash flood and rain, its still very, very dry here. So This year, other than sparklers and black cats, pretty much everything is illegal. How fun does that sound sparklers and black cats yay!!! So I guess I will be watching a more hydrated place set of fireworks on TV while I barbecue( if that isn't illegal here now too, I will have to check)
1999 Ram Air Trans Am. M6

SFC( not sure what kind), drilled/slotted rotors, K&N air filter, all free mods, 3" Borla cat back exaust, electric exaust cut out, NGK spark plugs, royal purple motor oil, and Zaino .Maybe more. I find more stuff done to it everytime I look at it.

    Bah! Legal schmegal.

Class C fireworks (sparklers, fountains, etc.) became legal in CT again as of four years ago. That's nice and all, but I prefer class B and A (rockets, M-80's, etc). There's always a way to obtain them, however, if there's risk of a fire... I guess it's for the best.

Connecticut outlawed everything because a few morons decided to blow themselves up.

They just legalized them in my little town. Doesn't make much difference to me though, I have been shooting them since I moved there.

Btw, I went fireworks shopping last night. Here are a couple pics. Looks like a shrine.

Nice set-up, Norm. Looks like the stash I purchased two years ago. I bought about 1/3 of that for this year. I focused on things that make really loud noises instead.

The greatest thing I picked up was a few packages of arial M-80's. It's a tube about the size and diameter of a large cigar. While standard M-80's are loud and everything... This launches them above the treeline so everyone in the surrounding area can enjoy it too.

This is for the RC guys.

Many years ago I crashed my power plane and busted the wing. When I fixed it I ran a wire pair out to each wing tip and fastened them to a glow plug that stuck out the end of the wing at the leading edge. I glued 2 QT large plastic straws at the end of the wings. At the center of the wing I wired it to a paddle switch and I drilled a hole out at the end of the paddle. I fastened the switch to the wing sticking out the bottom. I then mounted a servo to the wing and ran a rod from the servo to the switch. I plugged it into channel 5 the gear retract switch. I ran the switch to a single C cell battery. So all I had to do was slide a sky rocket in the straw and plug the fuse into the glow plug. Hit the retract switch and it lit them off. It was pretty cool to see it flying and shoot them.

I get a bit carried away with fireworks. When I was younger, I was a little too interested in them.

When I was a younger teen, I had 3 dozen bottle rockets go off in my pocket. Result was 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree burns on my left thigh. The day after going to the emergency room, I was out shooting them again. Some people never learn and never grow up.

Holy hell. And I thought having a black cat go off in my hand was bad. Well, it looks like you are going to have fun this year. Just uhmmm...keep 'em outta yer pocket.

That's exactly what happened to my cousin. They shaved skin of his behind to fix his leg eventually.
