  • Happy birthday to Mark B and me!!

Have a good safe fun birthday, Mark!! How is that wet sanding coming along?

    I found out something interesting....

My Z was traded in by its original owner on 6/30/03. That was my golden birthday! The car went to auction and another dealer bought it. I then purchased it online on July 23rd and had it shipped to Wisconsin.

You guys wont see me for the next week. After work today my family is going up to lake Hilbert in northern Wisconsin. for.... get this ..... an entire week!

Nothing but the lake, the campfire, fishing and the ATV trails.

    and the mosquitos.

They are sweet. Last time we went up, it rained 3" the first night. The next day, the trails were dry in some spots, muddy in others, sloppy mess in places and lakes in spots too.

We got to the first challenge and had to stop and plan our attack. The trail was a lake, solid water from one side to the other for a good 100'. We decided to go up the left side at medium speed. We had no clue what lie under the surface... rocks, boulders, tree branches, ruts, etc. We both made it through without issue. Then, the trail turned to soup, as far as the eye could see. Just huge muddy ruts, rocks and small ponds. That was a work-out getting through that, over 1/4 mile of nothing but slop. Very fun!

On our way back, we got to the 100' water bog and gunned it strait through. There were these two guys stopped on the other side, where we originally stopped surveying the situation. We sure showed them how it was done!
