  • Nissan and Renault may be vying for a portion of General Motors!

YIKES................I don't know how I feel about this one. Our favorite car company may have some other other big foreign car companies to contend with as part owners. In one sense, it may be needed but I sure would like to see GM in total control of their own ship.

Kerkorian, who owns about 10% of GM sent a letter urging this. A significant minority share would be 20%.

I really don't have a good feeling about any of this. Like managment needs another distraction now.

I really wish that investors would not keep pushing for short term benefits at the stake of long term health.

It would be the best thing to ever happen to GM... EVER
Former Ride: 2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 - 345 rwhp, 360 rwtq... stock internally.

        Current Ride: 2006 Subaru Legacy GT Limited - spec.B #312 of 500

I don't see how this would be a great thing for GM other than immediate, up-front money. They certainly don't need another company telling them how to do things. GM just started to build things right. The quality has gone way up. The cars are some of the best looking out there. Certainly better than most of the cookie-cutter foreign cars.

If it's for the money, fine. I just hope they use it for the correct means. When they right the ship, buy the stock back.
