Well I am painting the T/A in August..I'm just not sure what color I want..I dont know whether to keep it red even though I really don't want red..my firebird was red and frankly I'm burnt out on it lol..I really love black and that was my first idea..and I like white and silver..I thought about adding some pearl to whatever color I choose..maybe a blue frost..purple..or a pink..something suttle..just to shine when the sun hits it..I'm not sure though...and Im not really sure as to what rims I want..

I recently sold my c5 wheels for 400..needed new tires and the front left rim was chippin in the inside and I want atleast 18"s..

Well feel free to leave me ya'lls opinion believe me they are much needed lol...thanks!

I love the red and would keep it that color. However, if red is out go with a royal blue. Like this stunner:

Silver 02 WS-6, 6 speed, Corsa cat-back, SLP lid, K&N filter, BMR STB, !CAGs, Lou's short stick, MSD wires, MTI "Hammer" cam, ASP underdrive pulley, Hooker LTs, Hooker ORY, Comp 918s, TR pushrods, UMI Sfcs, UMI LCAs, NGK TR55s, Hotchkis springs

    Dyno'd 4/24: 330.9 RWHP/ 344.8 RWTQ (Before cam, headers, and pulley)

    Dyno'd 5/1: 383.5 RWHP / 380.5 RWTQ (393 actual RWHP)

I like electric blue, or you could go with something rare like green. I don't see alot of newer camaros that are orange or yellow either.. those are real popular colors for older muscle cars.

Black might be beautiful, but it is very difficult to take care of. (I have owned many many black cars so I know). I would opt for some type of silver if you want to change the color. About the best shade of silver I have seen is the one used on the Ford GT.

As far as a repaint goes, if you do change the color the cost will be more because things like door jambs and underhood stuff needs to be repainted too. Something to think about for sure. And to do a really good job, the car needs to be partially disassembled and will be off the road for quite awhile as well.

I was going to say this also. It is a very expensive paint job to change colors and do it correctly. They need to take the car apart.

I really like the blue metallics, though. Wish that's what I have, but I ended up with green for some reason

I like Black or Silver. For whatever reason I always keep coming back to either color.

As already mentioned. You're in for a lot more money / work if you decide to change the color and do it right.

Have you thought about a red but slightly different maybe with a effect like alluminum flakes or a metalic red that way you may be able to blend it with the colour you already have.

One of the nicest cars I have ever seen on the street was a camaro with a metalic purple custom paint job with like a smoked flame effect on the hood and window tint with the same purple smoke flame effect on them. It sounds so tacky but it was done right and looked SO nice. I am not big on that kind of stuff but who ever did it knew exactly what do to and did it all right and that made the car look so good.

When looking for a place to do the work look at the examples of the work done there and go from there. Paint is something you don't want to get wrong or it kills the resale value of the car. Something obviously custom and done right will actuly increase it's value and you will love driving it too.

Coming from the mouth of someone who owns a white T/A, well, I love white. BUT....it is awful to keep clean, just like black. Go down the road after a light rain shower and you will have a brown car. My other all-time favorites and suggestions to you: deep candy apple red, sunset or "burnt" orange, or a steel or gunmetal grey metallic. Have fun, and dare to be different!!
1996 White T/A, LT-1 auto with only aftermarket Flowmasters, shift kit, and a LG Motorsports G2 cold air kit.....that's it! She can't eat all the 'Stangs but will die trying.

                        I'm burnt on red too...

My next color...Sunset Orange. Ouuuuu sexy.

White is classic too...I love white f-bodies. Clean.

Sunset Orange!!! Alittle darker than the OEM color...with a spritz of metallic!

I would think twice about getting black. Don't get me wrong...I like black, but if you like you're car to look clean, it'll require a LOT of washing. Anytime it rains you'll have to wash it.

A brighter color like silver would be great for looking clean even when it's not. Personally, I like yellow, but it might cost you more.

A deep bright blue like the pic above would be awesome! I don't see many at all in that color.

I think $2000 is really cheap if they do a good job.
