Just came back from Georgia with a 68 Camaro. It is going to be a street/strip car, as it is back halfed, with a dana rear, ladder bars, full frame and a full cage. Car is in good shape, still has all the original chrome trim, but will need a little work to make it street worthy again.
It is set up for a BB which is what I will put in. Car ran 6.17 in the 1/8th, (I saw the time slip), with a 461BB which is impressive as my old Nova only ran 6.50 with a similar setup. Have a JW glide and PTC converter ready for it, but no motor for it at this time. I will build a motor for it. Probably something between a 468 and 540. With 150-250 juice should be good for 5.50 - 5.80 in the 1/8th and that should keep me happy for now. My 95Z will have to take a back seat for awhile, but its still my daily driver. If I ever figure how to put a photo on this site I will add a pix. Can anybody help with that I have tried.

I have built my own motors for quite a while. I have found a Dart big M block new for 2K, a 622 rotating assy for about the same, all new stuff forged pistons, crank, and H beam rods, but not something you would try to make 2500 hp with. However for 1000-1500 it should be just fine, and even with Dart 360s or the like it should be good for that with some bottle. The rear is a dana 60 with 4.56 gears, which will hold anything I will throw at it. The trans is a full JW glide which will handle that power just fine. The rear tires are 32" tall by 14" wide and only 3 mos. old. Should be a fun ride, not as fast as the old chassis car but still quick, and I will be able to street drive this a little.
