  • if it moves....i'll kill it.....

so on the way home from the gym today, i had to stop at petco and get some kibble..... 40lb bag of it didnt make the back of the goat drop hardly at all... i only had 2 miles to travel with it... the thought of dog food in MY trunk......oMg........hope nobody saw me loading it....

anyway, got the goldens a new ball....low and behold... the wolfdog loved it and stole it from em......no way they could get it back.. unless i jumped in...

    so... she's laying there.....ready..

and "it moved"...so she killed it...LOL

she dropped it after that and I scooped it up quickly before she could give me the big bad wolf bluff.....and tossed it in the goldens kiddie pool....

she trots over and checks it out...waters alittle cloudy, pools been up all weekend...

guess she figured the way to get it out was to remove the water......... stoooooooooopid....

she finally spotted it and snagged it again..

i didnt have the heart to take it from her...time to go in and get the goldens cooled off anyway... hell, its 98 degrees here at 5pm! sheez... need to cool the furr butts down at least an hr and half before they eat..then let em chill for another hr or so... dont want to risk bloat...

they'll get their new ball back monyaaana.

global scorching here on the east coast right now..d@mn

back to work tomarrow after a 3 day weekend... im wearing a casual shirt..the hell with long sleeves and a tie.... if they dont like it...they can kiss my bootie........

    Wolf

Fried of mine had a female wolf for a pet and I played with her one time. Threw a ball for her in fact. Every time I went there, and sometimes many months would pass, she would bring a ball to me so I could play with her. Smart and a great memory. How come its cooler here in Fla.??

she didnt have a wolf in fla without a wildlife permit.....that requires a 10 foot chain link fence surrounding the entire permiter of the property and a USDA exibition license there are very very few pure wolves in fla. i know where most of them are, its tough on them down there, the law and the climate. your friend had a wolfdog im sure, fla. has more wolfdogs than any other state right now... and more irresponsible breeders to go along with them too...... its a tough situation of us in rescue. and trust me..had your friends animal been a pure wolf, you would not have been playing ball with it... or even petting it.....it takes many many months, sometimes years for a stranger to befriend a wolf........i know...ive been doing this since 1983. many people get misslead by breeders on what they really have...... 99% of the "wolves" that i have evaluated over the years are wolfdogs, some very low content....... but thats still cool...dont get me wrong!

enjoy your weather while you can......august is comming............hurricanes........eeeeeeeeyyyyy yyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeee

Up here in the North eastern states, we're getting a heat wave which has been carried up from the South West. With the humidity factored in, I think the heat index was pushing 100*

btw, heat index was north of 100 deg. here today. didn't feel cool to me at all.

            Wolf ?

The "wolfdog" was very friendly when I visited always greeted me at the door. The owner was probably misled as to the breed, and I am sure no expert. Never heard a bark out of her but I did hear a howl once. There was no 10' fence around the property and she was never let outside without a leash. They lived in Apollo Beach, Fla. Unfortunately the friend died in a car accident, do not know what happened to the animal.

thats terrible about your friend.... we lose too many close ones that way, i lost my son that way 2 years ago...... its just not "fair" when you think about it. i hope the animal went to a suitable home for sure... sounds like she was a good animal owner, and most of us make arrangements ahead of time for your furry friends in case of sudden death to us....... something you just have to do...
