  • So go insure the beater in your backyard....

Here is my history with insurance as a 23 year old male with two "normal" speeding tickets on my record with the 2005 GTO.

    Progressive - $223 per month
    Geico - $145 per month

I go and buy a 97' Wrangler for a daily and Geico drops my insurance to $100 per month with no comp or coverage in the Wrangler and they give me a multi vehicle deal.

I'm pumped. So go dig the beater out of the yard and insure it to get a multi-car rate!

    Adam

2005 GTO, Quicksilver, 6-Speed, DynaTech LT's and thats it. 366.6 hp/366.7 tq last time I checked.

I've told my customer this for ages.

The way it works, if I like the customer, and they are not trouble, I put the beater as the primary. If they are a PITA, I don't.

Btw, here is the beater the day I found her. Pretty sad.

This truck resided on a gravel road for 150,000 miles. Yes, it was rough.
Lowered 3 inches front, 6 inches rear
                Tinted windows
Replaced right rear cover as it was torn off.
                Installed bling bling mirrors.
Painted stripe on hood, mirrors and right rear cover.
Installed 3rd gen wheels 245/45/16 front and 245/50/16 rear
Replace many column and many interior pieces as someone tried to break into the truck before I bought it.
Installed aftermarket head unit, amplifier and subwoofer.
Painted bed as it was all scratched up
                Installed tonneau cover.
Minor engine work as it was running on 3 of the 4 cylinders.

Now it looks like this. Sorry, bad picture.

                Future plans.
Install fresh LS6 from my 01 Z06 donor
Install either a single or twin turbo kit.
Install T56 6M (I already have this in the garage with all the D&D goodies installed)
Install ZR2 rear end. (This is a direct bolt in and has an 8.5" ring.)
Repaint the entire truck and add indirect Z06 items just for fun.
LS15 Power! Another LSx engine coming soon.

lol...all I own are beaters! (Actually the Camaro just needs a paint job.)

$64 a month for the Trans Sport and my Camaro. Got full coverage on the van 'cause of dragging the trailer around with it.

Closest thing to a nice car around here is my GF's '03 Aztec.

Helping her son fix a '89 Beretta GTU now, just needs a fender, hood and bumper...

'87 Camaro - 2.8L MPFI, 700R4 swapped to T5, B&M Ripper Shifter, Dynomax Super Turbo muffler, CATCO high flow cat, K&N air filters, 180 degree thermostat w/200-180 fan switch, 3.42 rear end, Global West steering brace, polyurethane bushings/trans mount, Spohn adjustable torque arm.
'88 Formula (stolen), '96 Camaro RS, (sold), '91 Firebird (sold),
