I did not witness this, but here is the story from a reliable source.
Recent race at Bradenton, Fla. grudge matches etc.
A Chevy Vega with a BB in it was running at Bradenton, and running 8.60s. Someone with a Turbocharged Ford was running some 8.20s. Both of these cars are street legal, tagged etc.
The Ford driver challenges the Chevy to a race for $500. The Ford driver had assumed that since the Chevy had a Nitrous plate on it. It must have been on Nitrous to run those numbers.
To his suprise the Chevy was doing that NA. He turned on the juice and proceeded to run 7.99
and take the Fords cash.
Just something to irritate some Ford owners.
OK guys lets hear it from the Ford clan. Can anyone counter this story?
