  • Just changed my spark plugs...

That wasn't so bad. It only took me about 45 minutes once I got started. Not bad for my first time doing it on this car. I only got one cut too. The plugs didn't look too bad, but I figured it was time considering that they were the stock plugs and the car is 6 years old with 52000 on the clock. I still need to change the wires after I get paid tomorrow, but I am pretty happy with the fact that I was able to do it. Especially after hearing all of the horror stories. Just thought I would share.

Not quite as good as when I changed the ignition control module, but pretty good, the less.

Yeah changing the plugs on my 3.4 really sucks too, but Id much rather do it myself than pay the dealership to do it. Now that Ive done it several times, its only about an hours worth of trouble. Since we're on the subject of PITA fixes....on the front of my intake manifold theres a nipple with a aluminum looking quick release disconnect fitting that goes to a heater hose....you better hope to God that the damn thing doesnt ever start leaking. Mine broke when I went to put in the new steel one....it took better part of 8hrs to chip it out piece by piece with a hammer and a small screwdriver. I really hate GM for such poor quality junk as that...why not just use a standard nipple or if youre gonna use a quick release design, go with a steel unit to begin with instead of damn pockmetal crap. (sorry for the rant, but i just had to vent...lol)
