  • Amazing autistic guy..

What this guy does is amazing.

I remember seeing an autistic kid that could hear a song on the piano one time, even the most complex symphonies, and play them perfect, and he was like 6. I think this guy takes the cake tho, this is incredible.

Mozart wasn't an idiot savant; he was just one of the most brilliant musicians ever to live.

I'm no expert in psychology, but from what I've read some autistic people exhibit an extreme ability in one small area, such as music or mathematical calculations, but are severely limited in all other aspects of life. I have heard of savants who can calculate square roots of primes to dozens of digits of accuracy in seconds, but could not make change for a dollar. A genius will have extreme abilities but can also function in society unassisted...like Einstein or Edison.

I've never heard of idiot savant mathematician. I have heard of them being "human calculators" and quite amazing at that, but not capable of analysis and developing theorems, etc.

just more evidence of the intricacy of the human mind.
