went down south VA a couple of weeks ago to do a home check on a couple that wanted to adopt two low content wolfdogs from Full Moon Farm Sanctuary in NC...www.fullmoonfarm.org the President had asked if I could do it since I was closest...and of course..."sure". They turned out to be a gr8 couple of folks...with wolfdog knowledge and he was building a suitable enclosure..they have lots of land away from neighbors.. so it was a go.
well, this afternoon....i cruised down there to meet nancy, the pres. of full moon farm, who transported the two wolfdogs down here to their new home. the wolfdogs were rescued from Ill. where wolfdogs are illeage....the owner abandoned them.. they are very low maint. and very social.. again, low content.. they are not siblings.. but because they were raised together, they are so bonded you wont believe ...they can not be seperated...
well, nancy called me last night, and told me about what time she would arrive, it took her 7 hrs to get there.. i drove down to meet her comming in and see the happy ending to the rescue...little over an hour for me...
when the van doors opened...the two were scared... but it didnt take long and they saw what was in store for them... once they got to the enclosure and we started playing with them inside... its like somebody turned a light on in their hearts......they knew....... they just knew.. they took the new owner..they took to me.....but they really thanked Nancy, as you will see in the pics.. animals are smarter than most give credit for....
i left to come home around dark.. they finally laid down to rest...and it was time for the new owner to get things settled down... it was just plain wonderfull....... and yes, ive been here before... but like i said.......it never gets old......like the gto......it puts a big SEG on your face......
