  • Hey GTO owners:

Well let me start by saying that I'm going to apply for a management position at my work...Its a $16,000 per year raise. Well if i do get this job, one of the cars i might've been interested in is a GTO. I was just curious what kind of mileage do you get. I mean i figured it would get better then 25 mpg highway with a 6-speed. My car is rated at 24 with an auto 4 speed. Thanks guys.

when you buy a car like this......mileage should not have to come into the picture......... LOL....seriously..

but.. i have gotten 26-28 with a feather foot on the one road trip i took to see my dad in nc. it was unreal. now...its all going to depend on how heavy your foot is around town. 19 maybe..sometimes lower if you play.. its 400 ponies man...... that takes juice. and its 3700 lbs..... the auto guys do worse.

Indeed...mileage shouldn't be a concern with these cars/motors. Keep it easy and you can see 26+ mpg isn't that out of reach. I got 27 from mine a few weeks back...but you'll be having too much fun to see 27 mpg.

Imho, mileage should ALWAYS be a part of the decision to buy a car. Even if it is the slightest...

I drive a combo of highway and city all week. I get 17 at best but I also like to rock through the gears to enter/exit highways. I did go to Boston from Buffalo and set the cruise at 72 all the way. I got 26.
