being a solitary hunter by nature, they are wound very tightly...so when they are startled and those springs recoil, it can send the cat literally flying.
Living in the pools, They soon forget about the sea...— Rush, "Natural Science" (1980)
That is funny. Cats sure will do some crazy things. When my cat Meatball was younger he was totally nuts. My son was working nights and was trying to rest before going to work, so he closed the door to rest. The cat decided he should not sleep and was grabbing the rug and hitting the door with his shoulder, it sounded like a large guy was hitting the door. My son comes out and chases him away twice and the first two times the cat runs away. As soon as he would go back in the bedroom the cat would run to the door and start slamming it. I was laughing to hard to stop him. The third time my son comes out mad and has got his fists up like he is going to box with the cat. The cat gets up on his hind legs backpedaling and mimicking my son who was rotating his fists in front of him. I was rolling on the floor at that point, and my son couldn't believe what he was seeing and broke up too. Needless to say they can be very funny sometimes.
