they should tie a rope around each leg, arm, and his head and tie the other ends to horses and then run horse at full gallop in opposite directions. Only then would i call it fair.....but hanging will have to do.

As long as the panel of appeal judges doesn't overturn the decision, it's looking pretty good that he will hang.

That will be a good day. I think they are going to make it a public hanging.

You mean the lefty networks allow a glorious day for the Bush Administration here in the US?

Maybe Bill O'Reilly or Glenn Beck will grace us with a little neck snapping coverage.

Aw, you mean they are not going to let that poor boy go. After all he had a bad childhood. He was only able to torture and kill animals when he was young, (anyone who does that is always a wacko), he didn't do that to humans until he was at least 15. Truly underprivelidged.
When I lived up north, some friends of mine who will remain nameless caught some piece of crap who was torturing dogs and cats. They jumped the scum and beat the hell out of him putting him in the hospital. I do not know if he ever did it again. Probably moved on to humans.

If I heard correctly, they still have more charges to bring him up on? So what, not only will he be sentenced to death, but he'll have other punishments as well? Are they going to hang him, then expect him to carry out a few life sentences? I never understood how or why criminals recieve sentences like this. All it does is waste time and money.

They are charged to simply clear the air and finalize things. People are always happy when things are set once and for all. It also brings justice for the victims of crime. On top of that it sends a message. What that message is is anyone's guess.

I find it funny that Saddam and his counterparts were handed their conviction just days before Tuesday's elections. Perfect timing for the GOP. I'm not surprised though, politics has become has become a machine.

I hope the message that this sends is one that other murderous dictators in this world will hear.

I'm just surprised they let the man continue with his outburst during trial. Whatever the case maybe, his time has come...I wouldn't put the man to death, that's too easy of a way to go out.

There's no way on earth they will. There are horrible things happening in Africa, and I'm not talking about Sudan alone. There are leaders, who dictate death and humiliation to their people. They can't be tried for war crimes, because he must be a member of a recognizable country or "state" . These people often end up assasinated...just taking out the middleman in the process I guess.

My best guess would be closure for the families involved. We expect it here so why not there?

That's what I mean though. If someone is already sentenced to death, what more do you want done? We know that a slow, horrible torture is out of the picture. If anything, I'd want to see the bastard who harmed my family swinging ASAP. I wouldn't want to delay it with another trial because one death sentence isn't quite enough. If someone killed 6 people and my mother or father were one of the victims, I wouldn't fight to keep the trial going after they were sentenced to death. They're not going to kill the person, revive them, kill them again, revive them and so on. They're going to kick them off a platform with a rope around their neck and that will be the end of that. I can't imagine losing sleep over my family member not getting a case. If the person is going to be killed, chances are we got the revenge or whatever it may be that we were hoping for. We don't need 5 more trials with the same conclusion.
