    Well.... I bit the bullet again!

    I was reading it over again and reminisced about her a little. The first week was tough and there are still a couple moments to this day. (that will prolly never go away)

    ....but I got over it. It's now been about a year...

    THIS is what I get to look forward to now!





    He'll be 8 weeks November 23rd which happens to be my birthday which happens to be the day i'll pick him up. He's a Chocolate lab and I'm just now starting to think of a name so any help is appreciated. I'm stuck on the name "Maximus" but I'll take your thoughts.
    I'm damn excited because I'm a dog man and I've been lost this past year without one. I'll of course miss Zaily but it's time to move on. Dogs come and go. I'll post better pictures (mom took these) when I get the little bugger!!!!!!!

        I love Chocolate Labs...like Kev said, smart and compassionate. My ex's god mom had one, Margot, and man did I love her...she used to put her head between your legs and make you scratch her. So playful and just warm hearted...you can see her feelings in her eyes.

        Your pup is a cutie. I love dogs and I'd just be a mess with a pup like running around...look at those eyes!

            Congrats! Nothing is better than when you first get a puppy or kitten. They're so damn cute and loving. They're the most fun to play with at that age. My girlfriend's puppy used to love wrestling with me. She wouldn't leave me alone. We used to call her needle teeth. Every time I left her house, it would look like I shoved my arms down a garbage disposal. Now when I go to pick her up or wrestle with her, she growls at me with a cross between a Chewbacca- like noise and something that sounds like the girl from the Exorcist.

            Have fun! Pets are awesome

            I just looked at those pictures again and that has to be one of the cutest puppies I've ever seen.

                My mother has 2 labs. Wonderful dogs! Full of personality. Your one lucky guy. And that's one lucky pup to have gotten a good owner!!

                Which reminds me. I'll have to seriously look into finding a good pup sometime in the next year now that I don't have to worry about deployments and am back on a regular schedule!

                BTW...I like the name Max for short.

                  Ohhhh, he too cute!! You will have lots of fun, just be patient with him, and training will be easy because they are smart as a whip.
                  Maximus is nice, but you will find that you will start calling him "Max" for short, and everybody names their dog Max. He looks like a "Moose" maybe (and will be big like one, look at those feet!) or maybe "Zeus"?? I know they rhime, but he could pass for a "Zeus"! Good luck!

                    Awesome dog. We just got a Golden pup a few weeks ago. If we didn't get a Golden, some type of Lab was our next choice. They are great dogs.

                        I love chocolate too, especially dark. Never had one that tasted like a lab though...
