        Hey, Good Point!
Plus there are 9,000 other things that contribute to a kids behavior.

Do I think they contribute? I answered yes. However, I believe, like most of you that it is all in the parenting... Everything contributes to bad behavior.

I think that the violence on the games contributes to the acceptance of violence, or at least becoming de-sensitized to the effects and implications of the violence. However, there is no substitute for proper parenting.

My Mom would have said the exact same thing. I was raised by a single Mom(and a few uncles) from the age of 10 and I saw that being a single Mom was not easy. You are always having to play both the fatherly role as well as the motherly role, and at times I know it can feel as if you never get to be the good guy. But boys raised by single Moms have a unique advantage , they learn to appreciate and respect women much much more, and they turn out smarter and better looking of course!

"Sheltering" children is the worst possible thing a parent can do. It is physically impossible to look over a child's shoulder every minute of evey day. You can be assured that they will discover the reailty of the world with or without their parents. Parents have a responsibility, not an option, to allow their children to learn the reailty of this world, and what an amazing way to develop on lifelong bond. Video games are merely a reflection of the reallity of today's world. 99% of kids realize this, and 99% of kids are smart enough to separate games from reality.
