I just joined this site, I'm from Long Island I just bought a 1997 Comp T/A 6spd w/ ttops. I called slp for the build number and they said it was 0195. how can this be??? there were only 164 produced??? Also I can't do anything w/ my signature whats going on with that? any info would be greattt thanks and hello to everyone you guys and girls got some sick cars. where and when on the 2007 compfest??

if there is a Compfest...Mike Alford, comp ta 57 will be hosting it. otherwise, all the comp ta's go to Norwalk in August for the annual Firehawk gathering...after all ..a comp ta is a firehawk in a tuxedo...ahahahahahahaha you can get info on that at the Firehawk web site: http://www.firehawk.org/

psssssssst the "two on the left" on the Comp TA is not an option...its standard with the CompTA package, just like on the firehawks...

actually on the Comp T/A owner's association page on the history section it says that SLP adds the dual cast aluminum tips but for a few more bucks they add the 2 on the left---history

Welcome! Very nice T/A, awhile back there was one for sale locally around me and I wanted that thing badly! Hubby wouldn't let me spend $17K for it though, just told me I had to make do w/ what I had. That's O.K. though! You're on a wonderful site, with super nice, informative people...welcome!

that was in 1995. The two on the left was standard on the Comp TA in 96 and 97. And I know.....Im the founder of the Comp TA owners association.... Jim Mattison is a personal friend of mine, as was Ed and Dave Hamburger at SLP. And I put up the original site for the Comp TA...Mike took it over when I retired and modded it some. Trust me.......no body knows more about these cars than me and Mike Alford.......except maybe SLP's ex chief engineer, Jeff Yaknin.

Mallory Billiet Alluminum. They are now out of business. I do have a Comp TA tb plate with no build no. on it if you are interested in buying it. I was good friends with the guy that ran MBA.......he started a run no comp ta tb plates for us and i did a group purchase. about 17 comp ta's got one with the build no. on it. he did this one first for me with no build. i can post a pic if you are interested.

i have tons of picks, but they are on floppy discs, and i have no floppy drive on my computer, i have to use my wifes. i can send them in an email, no sense uploading them to our home page site...need the space there.
