As I'm sitting in my office, I have a few moments to reflect on the times. It's a Holiday about family and friends, a time to reflect on our good fortune. We don't have to celebrate our holiday in a foxhole in some desert country because brave volunteers are doing just that. We aren't living under a crushing and brutal dictator because generations before us did exactly what today's volunteers are doing, keeping our country the land of the free. We have loved ones in our lives, our careers, our hobbies, our passions...... not to mention a wonderful holiday to celebrate what we sometimes take for granted.
I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday weekend, be sure to remind eveyone who's lives you touch that life is something to be celebrated and appreciated. Please don't waste everything by climbing behind the wheel of a car after you've been celebrating by drinking. Life is too important to throw away with such disregard, if you need a ride there is no shame in calling a friend or taxi. On the contrary, everyone else that knows you will be appreciative that you were smart enough not to drink and drive.
I'm also very thankful that JR has left this site open, that F-body.com still continues even when the factory took a hiatus from manufacturing the cars we love. I'm thankful for the experience and knowledge I've gleaned from this site as well as from the members as individuals. I feel priviledged to be associated with such a great group. You guys, (and girls) rock!
Now....... pig out folks!
