Saw the shuttle launch

...from the west coast of Florida. It only appeared for about ten seconds, and then disappeared into the clouds. It was brighter than I anticipated, being over 100 miles away. It was the first time since I moved here that they've launched at night. Hopefully there will be more.

You should take a trip over to the other coast next time. It like a small sun taking off, the surrounding area gets bright enough to read a newspaper.
