  • I was in an Accident

Sunday night on my travels across the state of Pennsylvania, I hit a guardrail at about 50 mph. I had called ahead east to a few people I knew in some towns and told me it was raining with no snow, later saying it wasnt raining at all. Since the anticipated storm was weaker than thought, I departed. We went about 60-70 miles than all of a sudden it was a complete white out. About 2 inches on the ground already. I was beginning to think I wasnt going to make it even halfway home.

It was so bad on I-80 that I couldnt tell whether I was going up or downhill. I had my eyes focused on the road and not the speedometer. I was going too fast. My girlfriend told me I was going about 50 when we lost control (it seemed like 25). I fishtailed and BAM the driver's side front fender went in and the car is sliding facing the oppisite was than it began than another BAM as the rear hit the guardrail (I did a 180). We were ok and I remained calm. We traveled for about 2 more miles where we eventually spent the night at a Hampton Inn.

It was then I checked the damage and was VERY, VERY suprised. It was not that bad at all for going 50! I had the bra on which saved me some paint. Id like some reccomendations on how to fix my dent and paint if could help! The pictures below show alot of dirt on the car which will be washed off. I was thinking body paste and paint to fix the front crack??

We were very fortunate. We saw a minute before I wrecked someone else had rolled their car and firemen were trying to get them out of the upside down vehicle. And while we were at the hotel all we heard were fire whistles and sirens. Lets just say we prayed nearly every mile of the remaining trip home. I am very thankful that we werent hurt.

dude that sucks. ive never had to drive the camaro thru an entire winter until this year and it's no picnic. I have a huge crack in my rear bumper and a scuff on the passenger fender. All because of the same snow storm. Sucks man, sorry about your car.

Glad to hear your alright. White outs are nothing easy to deal with. Just make sure you get a decent body shop to repair your ride.

Well being that theres 175 dollars in my bank account, and I make 40 dollars a week in college. And owe 1700 on the car, dont think I'll be able to make it to the shop lol. I started working on it and its going very well! I got the dent out but its a little rough. The front was very easy. I'll post pictures of when it's done!
